Once upon a time, in the heart of Waltham, there stood a brunch and dinner eatery known as ‘In A Pickle Restaurant.’ Famous for its mouthwatering brunch and EXTREME specials, the restaurant quickly became a local, some say national, favorite. But unbeknownst to many, there was more to this beloved establishment than just great food—there was a spooky secret lurking in the shadows.

The Mysterious Arrival

It all began one foggy autumn night, just before Halloween. The staff of In A Pickle stumbled upon an old, abandoned hearse parked right outside the restaurant. No one knew how it got there, and no one claimed it. The hearse was covered in dust and cobwebs, with an eerie glow emanating from within. Despite its creepy appearance, the owners thought it would be a fun addition to their Halloween decorations, adding a spooky vibe to their festivities.

Strange Happenings Begin

As soon as the hearse was parked beside the restaurant, strange things started happening. The lights would flicker on and off, the temperature would drop suddenly, and faint whispers could be heard echoing through the dining room late at night. The kitchen staff reported that utensils would move on their own, and pickles mysteriously vanished from the pantry, only to reappear in the strangest places.

Customers began to notice the odd occurrences too. Some claimed to feel a cold breeze brush past them while dining, while others swore they saw shadows darting across the walls. The most unsettling incident was when the hearse’s headlights would flash on, seemingly of their own accord, and the engine would start, revving with a ghostly growl, even though the keys were nowhere to be found.

The Unwanted Guest

Realizing they might have invited a restless spirit into their beloved restaurant, they sought help from a local paranormal expert. The expert confirmed their worst fears—the hearse was indeed haunted by the ghost of its former owner, a mysterious figure who couldn't rest in peace.

A Spooky Solution

Faced with the escalating hauntings, the staff of In A Pickle knew they had to act fast. They tried to appease the spirit by keeping the hearse clean and even adorning it with pickles (because, why not?), but nothing worked. The hauntings only grew worse, disrupting the restaurant’s daily operations and frightening away customers.

Desperate to rid themselves of the haunted hearse, the staff came up with a clever plan. They decided to give it away as a grand prize in their Halloween giveaway, hoping that whoever won would be brave enough to take on the spooky ride.
